Giving a voice back to West Virginia and uniting the major parties.  I will not offer you excuses, I will guarantee you working solutions.   

THE PROBLEMS

        I am a disabled veteran of the Army and the Navy, living on a disability income that equals that of about minimum wage, (Yes, I live in poverty, as does the greatest majority of people in this state that holds a minimum wage job.).  The military gave to me and paid for me a good college education and now they are also paying me for the disability they gave.  I am grateful to the military for my very existence and greatly admire the young men and women who has come after me, willing to give up their life for our rights, freedoms, and liberties as I was willing.  These young men and women offer their life so we can live free and enjoy our freedoms.  What can we possibly offer these brave men and women that might show our gratitude for their incredible unselfish sacrifice?
        I am not politically affiliated to the Democratic or Republican party.  A leader should never be Partisan and a citizen should never cast their vote in a partisan manner.  A good leader should always be a Mediator and a Negotiator, able to work with every citizen and every party represented.  Because or the squabbles, bickering, and divisions between the two major political parties, their great ideas are lost or placed by the wayside and you, the citizen, ends up getting what you already have a lot of...nothing.  Because of their nature, a Democrat cannot lead a Republican...the Republican will rebel.  A Republican cannot lead a Democrat...the Democrat will rebel, (Consider our current governments' achievements of getting West Virginia placed on the bottom of every bad list, in every category, in the United States and our Justice System labeled #1 Hell Hole and you will more than likely reach the same conclusion).  Since I am not affiliated with either party, I will not allow their squabbling, bickering, and division making.  I will give the voice back to all of West Virginia and provide a voice for both parties so their great ideas can be heard and used to benefit every citizen in this state. 
        The Republicans have great ideas when it comes to business.  The Democrats have great ideas when it comes to taxes and the humanities.  When the Republicans present their great ideas, and since it is not the Democrats, they undermine it.  When the Democrats present their great ideas, and since it is not the Republicans, they do the undermining...creating a vicious never ending cycle of never accomplishing anything of value or benefit to anyone.  They cannot help it, it's just part of their mentality.
        Since the Republicans can never come to terms with the Democrats and the Democrats and never come to terms with the Republicans...their greatest achievements will most likely always be; getting this state located at the bottom of every bad list in America, further degradation of our labeled #1 Hell Hole Justice system, which is the concrete of this state, and continuing to overburden our courts to where they can deliver little or no justice.  When the courts can only deliver the amount of justice you are able to pay for, it destroys peoples lives and livelihood.   We are fifth on the top ten worst list of states to own a vehicle.  We are on this list because of the deployable condition of our Insurance systems, and until the insurance systems are restructured, it will continue to degrade.  These are lists and positions that every West Virginian can be proud of and brag to other states about, and these are labels that our current government and past governments believe are deserving high honors and pay raises.  Since the Governor is elected by the people and given the power to speak for and act in behalf of every citizen of this state, the condition of this state, the condition of this government, and the way others view and speak of us is to the honor or shame of the Governor.  So far, with this administration and the administrations before it, we have experienced more than our share of shame and disgrace.  If you allow this government or a government like it to continue, we will continue to degrade to the bottom of more bad lists and experience a deeper, more humiliating form of shame.  
        I have excellent Republican ideas for this state and I have excellent Democrat ideas for this state,  but if I run on the Republican ticket, the Democrats will undermine everything I try to get done, and if I run on the Democrat ticket, the Republicans will undermine everything I try to get done, (again, take a close look at our current federal and state government).  They cannot help their bickering and divisions, it is the way we have allowed our government to conduct business for over a hundred and forty-five years.  Since I will not be a Democrat or Republican, I will be the Mediator/Negotiator of both parties and I will give a voice back to both parties and make that voice one; I will take the Republicans' good ideas and I will take the Democrats' good ideas, implement them as one great idea and present that idea to the state for the betterment of all.  In doing this, it would be foolhardy for either party to undermine their own ideas...we all will benefit and this state will start the long painful journey to recovery.
        We need to rebuild this state and we need to start the rebuilding now, not ten years or fifty years from now, but right now.  Every citizen of this state is going to have to get involved and work hard.  We have the technology to make ourselves better...we really do, and I will use that technology to rebuild our state, rebuild our educational system so our children can get a safe education-the best and most affordable education this country can offer, build and rebuild new jobs that will not close, be outsourced or owned by an outside source, clean up our water and clean up our air, and create a Health Care plan that will be the best in the nation.  It only takes one person, or one very large dozer to move a mountain, but a group of people can change the world.  Other states look at us with desecration, disgust and place us at the bottom of all their bad lists.  We need to stop this from happening and we need to stop allowing greed, greedy people and greedy business destroy our state; we have to start using our intelligence to destroy the bad lists, bad labels, and turn other peoples bad comments around to where they will seek our knowledge and guidance.  We can create the best Educational System in the country, we can create the best Health Care in the country, we can create the best Justice System in the country, we can restore our land, clean up our water and air to where it is the cleanest in the nation, and we can create the best jobs in the nation; we can rebuild our business and banking systems and we can regain our dignity.  

MY ITINERARY (JOURNEY) FOR THE GREAT STATE OF WEST VIRGINIA

        I was born and reared on the poor side of the tracks of West Virginia and nothing has changed in that impoverished land.  We do not have a banking system, the greedy politicians collapsed it and it no longer exists; we have no Health Care plan, we have a dumbed down Educational System, we have no Rights, and we have nothing but minimum wage Jobs that pays below minimum wage and offers no benefits.  Our land has been destroyed, our water has been polluted, our air has been polluted, and our health is the worst in the nation.    
        There...Poverty dominates our every existence.  Greedy politicians control and dictate our Jobs, our Government, our Land and our lives.  The politicians promise conditions will improve with their administration...their promises quickly turn to rot and they trod the poor down even further so they can continue to live off our backs; this is how it has been since we became a state nearly 150 hears ago and until we get these people out of office and keep them out of office, it will remain so.  
        There...we do not have a Health Care Plan; our elderly and our children cannot afford to get sick, nor afford their dangerous over-prescribed chemical medications.  Our Government is constantly bickering and creating divisions amongst themselves to keep from creating a Health Care plan that the poor can afford.  They say that they do not have the money to make it affordable, yet they can find enough money to continue to destroy our land, pollute our water, pollute our air, and degrade our health.  This current administration promised 14 new Coal to Liquid Plants that will increase the pollution of our land, air, water, and health an X amount, if left unchecked will increase the pollution an estimated 300 to 400%, that will in time, turn West Virginia into a large toxic waste dump.  The governor did not mention the construction of a Health Plan to counter the damage all the extra pollution will bring to our health.  
        There...we have a dumbed-down dangerous Educational System where our children graduate with barely knowing how to spell their names and our teachers are the lowest paid in the nation; our children are killing our children; our children are killing our teachers; our teachers are killing our children; our children are abusing our teachers; our teachers are abusing our children and the politicians place Band-Aids on the fossilized system and call it New and Improved.  When your send your child to school in West Virginia, you do not know the condition they will come home in, or if they will be coming back home and yet, the politicians have convinced us that we have the best Educational System in the world.  In this school system, your child is subjected to 9 or more different colds and flues a year and some of these colds and flues are deadly.  In this state, because of the like of health care, you and your children cannot afford to get sick.  I will eliminate drug abuse, physical and mental abuse from the school system and your child will get the safest education in this country.   
        There...we have mockery-ized Minimum Wage Jobs that pay less than minimum wage and has no benefits.  The few average paying jobs we do have lord themselves over us like plagues, stealing our property and destroying it...crating a non-livable environment; polluting our water with gallons of deadly mercury 2+ and other lethal chemicals where it is undrinkable; polluting our air with tons of deadly carbons and other toxins where it is un-breathable, endangering and destroying our health and bringing our way of living down to that of a third-world nation.  Our state and economy is at the bottom of every bad list in America and the politicians seem intent on us maintaining that position.  They travel to foreign lands with tax payers money and discuss how they can increase the already polluted and devastated land with more businesses that destroy and devastate...they tell us they are 'A Friend' of our pollutions and plagues and that is the best they can provide.  They give our property away to big business to do with as they please, and they please in poisoning our land, killing our livestock and game, and making our children sick.
     There...our utility companies embezzle and extort from us and tell us that as long as they do it to everyone, it is legal; they charge us rates, that for the minimum wage earner is unbelievably high, (they try to convince us that we have the lowest rates in the nation) and when we pay their fee, if we can pay their fee, there is little to nothing left to feed our children or buy their medications.  When the temperature goes down, the rates goes up, but when the temperature goes up, the rates stay the same.  The politicians tell us that we have the lowest utility rates in the nation, but they forget to mention that we also have the lowest pay rate and standard of living in the nation and the utility rates are competitive with or equal to richer more productive states.    
        There...the politicians have eliminated, or overwritten, or amended our Rights-Freedoms-Liberties where they barely exist and tell us it is for our own good and they are protecting us and we believe when they say, 'You have Rights'!  The politicians have degraded our Justice System with ludicrous and worthless laws to the point it has been labeled #1 Hell Hole and there is no longer justice in the Justice System.  They have made themselves exempt from the laws they force upon us to obey without question, and they have turned our police into vigilantes where they can pick and choose upon what and whom they want to enforce the law and what laws they want to enforce and with our dumbed-down Education System, they believe there is no one with the intelligence to know or tell the difference or understand what they are doing.  We are not sheep, nor idiots, nor stupid, nor living under a communist regime; we do not have to follow this kind of government any longer.  We can return our government to a democracy that is governed by the people and for the people.  Our vote does count and we will be heard.  This November, it does not matter if you are a Democrat or Republican, place my name, James Davis, on the Write-In ballot and we will make our voices heard again.  
        The Government show no respect for our land and property.  They freely litter our, already heavily littered, highways and byways with their trashy Signs telling us what they are going to do for us next.  I have a great respect for this state and I will not contribute to the eye-sore litter that makes this state look like a trashcan by placing ugly signs along side the roadways and byways, and any politician who has no more respect for our land and property than to contribute to its already trash laden environment does not deserve the office they seek and if these kind of people get in office or back in office, they will only give us more of their trash, pollutions, lies, ill health, elimination of Jobs and Rights and stack even higher their broken promises.  We can no longer afford these kind of people controlling our lives and state.  Vote them out of office and keep them out of office.  It is the workings of these thoughtless trash littering people that has got this state in the condition it is in now.  We need to stop these kind of people before we no longer have a state, but a large toxic waste dump.  In November, vote James Davis for Governor and I will stop these destructive people, bring them to justice and rebuild our state.  

MY PROPOSAL TO YOU
This is my word to you, and it will be honored.

I will not offer you excuses, I will offer you working solutions.

         I cannot do this job by myself, no one can, you will have to don your work cloths, roll-up your sleeves and follow me to the capital and together we, the citizens of West Virginia, will take back our state, take back our land, take back our government, take back our jobs, take back our laws and rebuild it.  If you are tired to being forced to have to choose between "the lesser of the two evils", now you have a choice, vote for James Davis on the Write-In ticket in November and it will be a vote for a better life.
